BEETROOT KICHADI


INGREDIENTS

beetroot - 1 big
onion - 1
green chilly - 2
yoghurt - 2 cups
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
curry leaves
dry red chilly
salt
oil

METHOD

Chop beetroot and onion finely.Heat oil in a pan add slit green chillies and onion .Saute till onion is cooked.Add beetroot and salt , mix together ,cover and cook for 5 minutes or till beetroot gets cooked.Remove from flame and cool it.Whip yoghurt with little water and pour this over beetroot.
In a pan heat oil and splutter mustard ,curry leaves and dry red chillies.pour this over the beetroot.
