I apologize for not blogging for a long time..my mom was here with us then i had been on vacation to kerala..when i got back my in-laws had come to stay with us.So altogether had a very busy time..Now i am back to my usual lazy routine..
Coming to today's recipe.this one was saved in my drafts for a long time and I have been wanting to share this recipe with you guys mainly because its very quick and easy.. I make this every time i dont have any thing to pack for my husband lunch.This recipe has always been a saviour that way..
INGREDIENTS
1.Cooked basmati rice - 1 cup
2.Green peas - 1/2 cup (cooked)
3.Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Whole cardamom - 2
Bay leaf - 1 small
4.Green chillis - 1or 2 (according to your taste )
5.Onion -1
6.Cashews - 5
7.Pepper - 1/2 tsp
8.Oil - 2 tsp
METHOD
Chop onion and green chilly finely..In a pan heat 1 tsp oil, to this add cumin seeds,cinnamon,whole cardamon and bay leaf.Allow it to splutter .Add finely chopped onion ,green chillies and salt to taste. Saute till onion gets cooked.Add cooked green peas to this toss well.Cover and cook for 1 minute.To this mixture add cooked rice and pepper ,mix it well.Check whether salt is enough if not then add more according to taste..In another pan heat 1 tsp oil, fry cashews till golden brown.Add it to peas pulao.
