CHICKEN NARGISI

Hello every one ..back again after a long time.I have started doing my masters program so have a very hectic schedule now a days.So back to studying mode Anyways today am gonna share chicken nargisi recipe with you all which is one of my favorite .I got this recipe from an indian cooking site ruchi's kitchen.She has got a huge collection of indian recipes..So far i have tried only this recipe from her site and i love it..







INGREDIENTS

1.Chicken breast - 2 lbs
2.cardamom,bayleaf,clove,cinnamon - 2 pieces each
3.Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
4.Tomato  puree - 1 cup
   Onion             -  3(ground to paste)
   Green chillies - 3 (or according to your spice level)
5.Chilli powder - 2 tsp
6.  Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
7. Yoghurt  -  1cup
8. Kasoori methi - 2 tbsp
9.Coriander and cumin seed (11/2 tsp each)
   fennel seed - 1tsp
   coconut grated -  1 1/2 tbsp
   Almond - 10 to 12
   Garam masala - 1tsp
7.Oil
8.Salt to taste




METHOD


Cut chicken in to small cubes ,boil in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes ,remove from flame and keep the chicken stock aside.Soak almonds overnight,remove skin.
Grind number 9 ingredients to a smooth paste and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan ,add ingredient 2 and fry ,add onion paste fry till golden brown
In a bowl mix together yoghurt,green chilli,ginger-garlic paste,tomato puree,chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt.Add this mixture to the fried onion.cook till oil separates.
Now add the ground paste along with kasoori methi to the pan.Cook for 3 minutes.Add boiled chicken pieces and the stock to this
Cover and cook till gravy turns rich and creamy.
