Ingredients
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Large Egg - 1
Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
Brown Sugar - 1 tablespoons ( refer notes )
Chocolate chips - 1/4 cup (you can use milk chocolate/dark chocolate )
Butter milk - 1 cup
Pure Vanilla essence - 1/4 teaspoons
Unsalted Butter - 2 tablespoons , melted
Salt - one pinch
Method
In a large bowl whisk together all purpose flour ,baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. To this add in the egg ,vanilla essence , melted butter and buttermilk . Mix to make the batter . Do not over mix .It is ok for the batter to be little lumpy. Now fold in the chocolate chips.
Heat the griddle/ pan grease with some oil or butter .When the pan is hot pour a ladle full of batter. Wait for bubbles to appear on top of pancakes, now flip them over. Cook till golden brown. Transfer it to a plate, top them with whipped cream, maple syrup and slices of your favorite fruit . Enjoy your pancakes !!
Note : Adjust the sugar measurement according to your taste. You can use white sugar instead of brown.
